To start MAP monitoring, we need two things from you: a list of the distributors or resellers you want to monitor, and ideally a MAP API feed or price list showing what the minimum advertised price should be for each product. With that information, we build bots that check each distributor's listed price against your MAP requirements on the schedule you choose. If you don't have a formal API feed, a spreadsheet listing your products and their MAP values is enough to get started — we'll match that against what we find on each distributor's site.

How often we check depends on your settings and how aggressively your distribution channel tends to violate MAP. For categories where violations are rare, a daily check is usually sufficient to catch problems before they spread. For categories where one reseller breaking MAP tends to trigger others to follow within days, we recommend checking several times a day so violations get flagged and addressed before the price drop becomes the new market norm. We'll help you choose a schedule based on how your specific distribution channel has behaved historically.

When we detect a price below your MAP threshold, the system automatically generates a report documenting the violation — including the distributor, the listed price, and when it was observed. This report can be sent to you directly, to the distributor as a notice requesting a price correction, or both, depending on how you want to handle enforcement. Having a documented, timestamped record of each violation also gives you leverage in any conversation with a distributor who disputes that they broke the agreement, since the evidence is collected automatically rather than relying on someone manually noticing the price change.

No, you don't pay separately for proxies, web servers, or scraper maintenance — all of that infrastructure is included in your subscription. Distributor and marketplace websites often try to detect and block automated monitoring, which requires rotating proxies and ongoing technical maintenance to keep working reliably. Rather than charging extra for this infrastructure or passing the cost on as a surprise line item, we bundle it into the subscription price so the cost you see upfront is the cost you actually pay each month.

Take your MAP under control

MAP monitoring (Minimum Advertised Price monitoring) is the practice of tracking how resellers and distributors advertise a product's price, to verify they aren't selling below the price floor a brand requires. When one reseller breaks MAP, competitors often follow within weeks, compressing margins across the entire distribution channel. Sparsim's MAP monitoring service checks reseller listings on Ukrainian and international marketplaces — including Rozetka, Prom, and Amazon — on a schedule from weekly to real-time, and automatically flags violations with screenshots and pricing evidence so brand managers can act before a price war spreads.

Modern e-commerce is similar to the wild west. Online retailers are willing to constantly dump their prices to attract new customers. In the process, they often ignore their vendor's Minimum Advertised Price (MAP). Once one of the distributors starts ignoring MAP, it usually takes less than two weeks for everyone else to break the code too.

Disrespecting the MAP may kill the niche, tightening profit margins or worse, making the product unprofitable. The problem is that monitoring MAP across retailers often requires a tremendous amount of time.

We can help you with this, solving this problem for you.

How Does It Work

We can create bots that will monitor prices among your distributors. Once an inappropriate price is published, we automatically generate a report for you and/or your distributor asking for that price to be adjusted.

All we need is your MAP API feed and a list of your distributors.

Development and First Run

Usually, it takes us between 1 and 5 business days to create a monitoring bot depending on the complexity of the website and its bots protection. Thereafter, we will provide you with a result sample to review. Once a green light is received, we will put bots on an automated schedule.

Maintenance

In the scrapping world, we work with the front end of websites. They tend to change from time to time. That is why we run daily checks on the websites we work with and adjust our bots accordingly.

Why choose us

  • You don't pay for Scrappers development if we sign a yearly subscription.
  • Minor scrappers updates are included into the subscription.
  • We don't charge you any extra fees for proxies, web servers etc.
  • We build custom scrappers for each of our clients to make sure that you get exactly what your business needs.
